Special Activity MC Tanisha Smith, Director of Operations/HR for Greenough Consulting Group
Tanisha is a Senior Human Resources Professional with over 20 years of experience. She holds a Master’s in Human Resources, Bachelor’s in Business Management and a number of certificates from Employment and Immigration Law, Training and Development and a certificate in HR Management and considers herself a lifelong learner. Tanisha spent majority of her career working for St. Jude Medical (now acquired by Abbott) for 13 years. She has a background in product marketing and promotions and experience working with companies of all sizes; with sites in and outside of the U.S.
Currently, Tanisha works for Greenough Consulting Group as their Director or Operations. She has her own HR consulting company, The Real HR Ninja Consulting where she helps early development to mid-sized companies with their HR needs. Outside of her career choices, Tanisha has many noteworthy hobbies and interests: she’s a world traveler who loves observing and interacting with other cultures, a public speaker, talk show host and she possesses a general passion for fashion.
Tanisha and her oldest daughter founded a non-profit organization, Helping Hands Change Hearts (HHCH) in 2018 which is an organization committed to responding to the needs of low-middle income families and individuals who aspire to advance in life, yet do not have the know-how or tools at their disposal to allow for positive lifestyle changes. HHCH provides opportunities in the spaces of education, community outreach, travel and art to all ages, genders, races, religions, backgrounds, and ethnicity with a special focus on youth and young adults.
